Sell Your Excavator in the UAE

Sell a used excavator in the UAE to AL HADAF. Send make, model, year, operating hours and photos for a professional assessment and offer.

What do buyers check when buying a used excavator?

Buyers check operating hours, undercarriage wear, hydraulic leaks, boom and arm condition, engine smoke and the cabin. Clear photos and an hour-meter picture speed up the assessment.

An excavator with 6,000 hours can be in better shape than one with 3,000 if it has been maintained. That is why we ask for service records alongside hours.

Tell us the bucket and attachments included. Quick couplers, breakers and extra buckets can affect the price.

Crawler, wheeled and mini excavators

Excavators are the most commonly offered machines in our enquiries. Crawler excavators, from 10 tonnes to large mining-class machines, are the standard earthmoving tool on UAE construction sites. Wheeled excavators work on roads and urban projects. Mini excavators serve landscaping and utility work. We look at all of them, and the details we examine change slightly with the type.

Brands we are asked about most

Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, Doosan, Hyundai, Kobelco, Sany, XCMG, JCB, Case and Kubota are the manufacturers we see most often. Caterpillar machines, often marked CAT, tend to attract good interest, but any well-maintained machine of a recognised brand can be of interest to us. Provide the exact model number, such as 320D or PC200, and the serial number if you can.

What we inspect on an excavator

The undercarriage: track chains, rollers, idlers, sprockets and track tension. The boom, stick and bucket: wear on pins and bushings, cracks near welds, bucket teeth and cutting edge. Hydraulics: leaks, cylinder condition, pump pressure and response. The engine: smoke, noise, starting, oil and coolant condition. The swing bearing and slew gear, the cab and controls, and electronic monitors. We also check that the machine operates smoothly through all of its functions.

Hours, history and attachments

The hour meter is the first number we ask for, and a photograph of it is better than a number typed into a form. Service records help enormously. Tell us about attachments: extra buckets, hydraulic breakers, couplers, thumbs and tilt rotators can be valuable. Mention whether the machine has worked in rock, sand or demolition, because each wears the machine differently.

Transport and inspection logistics

Excavators are heavy, so we plan the inspection around where the machine is. In many cases the inspection is done on your site while the machine is idle. If the machine is bought, we agree with you who arranges transport and when.

Documents

We need proof of ownership and, where applicable, registration papers, plus information about any finance. For machines imported by your company, import documents can help. We tell you the exact list when we discuss your machine.

What helps us value it
