The process in detail
Step 1 and 2: Submit your details and photographs
Open the Sell Your Asset form and choose Vehicle or Heavy Machinery. Enter the category, brand, model, year, mileage or operating hours, condition and location, and your expected price if you have one. Upload photographs and, if you wish, a short video. If you prefer, send the same information on WhatsApp.
Good photographs make a real difference. For a vehicle, include the front, rear, both sides, interior, dashboard and any damage. For machinery, include the full machine, front, rear, cabin, operating components and the hour meter.
Step 3 and 4: Review and contact
Our purchasing team reviews your submission. This usually means checking the asset against what we are currently looking for and what the market is doing. We then contact you by phone or WhatsApp to ask anything we need to know and to discuss whether to proceed to inspection. You receive a reference number when you submit, so you can refer to your enquiry at any time.
Step 5: Inspection and valuation
We inspect the asset at a location and time agreed with you. For vehicles this includes the engine, gearbox, steering, suspension, brakes, tyres, body, interior and electronics, plus a test drive where appropriate. For machinery it includes hours, engine, hydraulics, undercarriage or tyres, structure, attachments and operation of all functions. Our valuation is based on what the inspection finds.
Step 6: The price is agreed
After inspection we tell you what we can offer and explain why. You may accept, ask questions, negotiate within reason, or decline. A price agreed verbally is confirmed before documents are signed. Offers may expire if they are not accepted within the time we state.
Step 7: Documentation
The documents depend on the asset and the seller. For a vehicle we typically need the registration card (Mulkiya), the seller's Emirates ID or company documents and the vehicle keys, plus bank documents for a financed vehicle. For machinery we need ownership and, where applicable, registration papers. We tell you exactly what applies to your case and complete the transfer with you.
Step 8: Payment and closing
Payment is made directly according to the terms agreed with you, when the documents are complete and the ownership is transferred. We do not ask you to pay anything to receive an offer. We never promise payment before the inspection and final agreement.
What can slow things down
Missing documents, unsettled bank finance, unpaid traffic fines, difficulty accessing the asset and unclear photographs are the usual causes of delay. Preparing these in advance is the best way to shorten the process. We cannot guarantee a particular timeline, but complete information at the start helps.
